UNIBIO_SQUALANE is a moisturizing and skin-softening ingredient. 

It is very similar to one of the skin's lipid components, squalene. 

Therefore, it has a very gentle effect on skin. 

It can form a barrier on skin surface, thereby enhancing skin's moisturizing ability. 

It also helps to retain moisture in the outer layer of skin (i.e., the stratum corneum). 

Additionally, it can prevent lipid peroxidation reactions caused by exposure to UV and other oxidative stress factors, thus protecting skin.
