UNI_M68 is a mixture and an O/W emulsifier composed of Cetearyl Glucoside and Cetearyl Alcohol supplied by Chinese supplier UNIcare. It is derived from 100% natural plant sources, including fatty alcohols from palm and glucose from corn. 

UNI_M68 features a biomimetic structure

Due to the lipophilic nature of the long-chain of the fatty alcohol and the hydrophilic nature of the glucose, UNI_M68 can form a multi-layered Lamellar Structure. Lamellar Structure is similar to that found in the skin, making UNI_M68 easy to spread on the skin and providing excellent skin feel and moisturizing properties. At the same time, Lamellar Structure can form a longer-lasting and stable emulsified system in formulations, allowing both water-soluble and oil-soluble active ingredients to coexist better in the formulations and be more effectively absorbed by the skin. Additionally, the presence of the fatty alcohol structure in the product can thicken formulations. 

UNI_M68 is a versatile emulsifier that can be directly added to the oil phase. After heating and melting, it is mixed with the water phase and stirred for emulsification. Due to its skin-friendly properties, it is suitable for use in baby care products, sunscreen products, products for sensitive skin, and high-end creams, etc. The recommended dosage is 1-5%.
