The antioxidant property of vitamin E is due to the phenolic hydroxyl groups present in its structure and widely recognized as an excellent antioxidant.
There are four configurations: α, β, γ, and δ.
Among them, the natural δ-vitamin E is extremely scarce in nature and has the strongest antioxidant capacity.
However, vitamin E is unstable and is limited in its application.

Currently, the most widely used form of vitamin E in medicine is vitamin E acetate.
Literature reports a comparative test of δ-vitamin E-glucoside and vitamin E acetate under the same conditions in recombinant human skin.
In the recombinant human skin experiment, 90% of δ-vitamin E-glucoside is metabolized into free vitamin E within 18 hours.
However, the vitamin E acetate in the control test did not detect the metabolite of becoming free vitamin E.
Sustained-release VE
In addition, δ-vitamin E-glucoside has a considerable 'storage reservoir-like' effect in the skin, which can release vitamin E in a sustained and long-lasting manner and will not cause excessive stimulating reactions.
